Mary Kay’s Mansion Up For Sale

Categories: Celebrity Houses

If you are ready to write a $3,300,000 check for this Dallas, TX six bedroom, eight bathroom estate, get prepared to park your pink Cadillac inside the driveway of the house that once belonged to the Queen of Cosmetics, Mary Kay Ash.

This pink estate is loaded with extras, yet you need to appreciate the color or it isn’t right for you.

The home comes complete with an entryway that might rival the Taj Mahal, adorned with white columns against a pink backdrop, guarded by lion statues, and a glass, tall entryway that welcomes everyone.

This foyer looks more like a lobby than a foyer in this 11,874 sq. ft. palace.

Even Mary Kay believed the home was too big and ultimately moved back inside her prior house, leaving the celebrity home to someone else who had an appreciation for pink.

The foyer possesses a semi-spiraling staircase that has wrought-iron white rails, marble floor and plush white carpeting on the stairs.

One sitting room breaks from the pink-colored tradition of the house that has wooden ceilings, walls, and hardwood flooring.

The embossed wooden wall design and the high arching windows are reminiscent of a King Arthur-type castle.

Right off the foyer, the formal dining space follows through with the pinkish wall theme, yet possesses white woodwork and high arched windows therefore, it is not as noticeable.

Everywhere you glance in this house, there are arches. The hallway is a long arch that has white pillars on the side.  The room’s entry ways and windows are also arched.

The kitchen is conventional—yet huge. It features stainless steel appliances, white cabinetry, and an adjoining 2 story breakfast nook with glass walls. A few people noted that the pink theme was taken to the extreme when they heard about a pink quartz toilet inside the boudoir.

Madonna Attempts to Sell $28,000,000 Mansion in Beverly Hills

Categories: Celebrity Houses

Madonna possesses a new album she needs to promote — as well as luxury estate she needs to unload.

Madonna’s MDNA might be the 1st album to both top Billboard charts, as well as be a huge commercial failure. The album debuted at #1 upon the charts, prompting Guy Oseary, Madonna’s longtime manager, to herald her comeback as a massive success. And even though it was a triumphant comeback, it turned out to be a brief comeback buoyed by what a few are referring to as a cheap trick. Sales for MDNA have dropped a record 88% week after week, from 379,000 units to a low 46,000, according to Forbes magazine.

Therefore, pop star Madonna has quietly placed her French Country-style celebrity mansion in Beverly Hills as a pocket listing for an asking price of $28,000,000. A pocket listing will mean the real estate agent possesses a contract to sell it, yet it isn’t advertised or listed within the Multiple Listing Service.

The material girl purchased the home in 2003 while married to Guy Ritchie, English director, and paid around $12,000,000. The 5,800 sq.ft. house possesses 3 bedrooms, according to tax records, yet, according to real estate insiders, it is likely that she added to the space.

Perhaps ditching LA means Madonna will be spending a lot more time in NY. She supposedly resides within a triple-wide townhouse upon the Upper East Side she purchased within 2009 for $32,500,000. Lourdes, Madonna’s fifteen-year-old daughter, LaGuardia High School student, was seen over the weekend smoking when out with pals in Manhattan.

Madonna also offered to show Tim Tebow, future New Yorker, around. When tweeting recently to promote her new record, Madonna told Ryan Seacrest that she would adore showing Tim Tebow around town. She added that she has a lot in common with him. ‘He is like a virgin & so am I,’ she tweeted, tossing in an emoticon wink.

Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux Have Separate Living Quarters in Mansion

Because of their battling ways, Justin Theroux and Jennifer Aniston are going to have their own separate living quarters inside their $21 million celebrity mansion in Bel Air. Similar to a boxing ring, both fighters are set to be equipped with their very own separate corner in order to escape the fight – only this ring is 8,500 sq. ft. with astonishing views of the Pacific Ocean!

Aniston, who purchased the celebrity home recently, is getting it remodeled in order for Justin to reside upon one side and Jen to reside on the other. Hmm…are there problems with this couple before them even moving in? Not a good sign. According to sources, Justin and Jen argue a lot, so Jen thinks it will be better if Justin has his own ‘space’ so they both could get away from each other if needed.

Friends of the couple say the reason for this tension is that the pair has been inseparable since they first began to date last year. For the initial 6 months, it was not an issue, but lately they both seem to feel emotionally suffocated and trapped—and that will cause friction. The other problem the couple is facing is that Justin wanted to reside in NY, yet Jen backed out in the last minute. He attempted to be understanding, yet he is actually very irritated with her getting her way. So, to compromise, Jen agreed to build Justin his own separate bathroom, kitchen and man cave to ‘get away from it all.’

Most of Jen’s friends say this is a very wise thing to do—to have his and hers living quarters. Me personally? I think it is a FANTASTIC idea! I’ve been married 11 years, and sometimes you just need your own space. I think my husband would agree…  It’s a great way for a long term relationship to survive.

Sarah Jessica Parker’s Move to Brooklyn Heights

According to celebrity houses sources, Sarah Jessica Parker, former ‘Sex and the City’ star, and hubby Matthew Broderick closed in on a contract recently to buy adjacent townhomes on State Street close to Sidney Place within the borough’s costliest neighborhood.

As construction is finished, the combined house would develop an urban mansion of around 7,000+ sq. ft. with a suburban-sized yard — ideal for this family’s growing kids, Tabitha and Marion, 2-year-old twin daughters and the couple’s 9-year-old son James Wilkie.

The buy of the townhouses are going to be an ‘off-market’ transaction; that means the homes were not for sale officially.

Billy Calder, age 22, who has resided on State Street his entire life, mentioned that it is a family-oriented, quiet neighborhood and that lots of houses are owned by individuals who have little ones and it is an extremely safe community.

Billy also added that there are tons of celebs living around here already. Gabriel Byrne resides a couple of streets away, and Norah Jones resides nearby, and he said he didn’t believe it’d be a huge deal.

Broderick and Parker are sprouting real estate moguls, having closed upon an East 10th Street townhome 2 years before this for over $18 million.

The Truman Capote home at 70 Willow Street sold recently to the Grand Theft Auto video game creator for twelve-and-a-half million, a record for one single-family home.

The difference in price between where the couple used to live, the West Village, and the new neighborhood, Brooklyn Heights, is occasionally 2, 3, or 4 times the amount. That is why major names are wishing to reside there. It is a simpler financial commitment.

Broderick, just having turned fifty, born and raised within the West Village to an artist couple, should not experience any struggles adjusting to life inside Brooklyn Heights.

With landscape architects and writer, carriage houses, hidden lanes, and charming streets, it is like the West Village twenty-five years before — with a sprinkle of Paris tossed in.

Spanish villa set to sell for over $1.3 million

from realtor.com

Collette bought the Spanish style property with her husband two years ago.  The single storey villa is 2,136 square feet in size and was built in 1924.  It boasts three bedrooms, three and a half bathrooms and a compact garden with lots of natural light.  There’s also a plunge pool to cool off on hot Californian days.

The Muriel’s Wedding star apparently chose the property because of its location.  The villa is conveniently close to the studio where she filmed the Showtime comedy series, United States of Tara.

The Daily Mail reports that ‘now that the show has closed, Toni has decided to take the opportunity for a change of scene.’

The 39 year old actress is currently in negotiations to star in the forthcoming film Alfred Hitchcock and the Making of Psycho.  Collette is set to star as Hitchcock’s long-term friend and assistant Peggy Robertson.

The movie, set to be directed by Sacha Gervasi, is also rumored to star Scarlett Johansson, Jessica Biel, Danny Huston, Dame Helen Mirren and Sir Anthony Hopkins.   Based on the book by Steven Rebello, the script has been penned by Black Swan writer John McLaughlin.  It is hoped that the film, scheduled for a 2013 release, will draw the kind of acclaim won by the 2011 film My Week With Marilyn.

Harrison Ford put his California mansion on the market.

After spending almost 30 years in this piece of treasure, Harrison Ford wanted a change of scenery – so he has put the mansion in Brentwood, CA on the market – for a hefty price of $8.295 million!

If the 69 year old actor gets the full asking price for the property, he will make a neat $1 MILLION profit – Indiana Jones will be impressed by this move! Ford currently resides in the cosy family home with his current wife, Ally McBeal star, Calista Flockhart and their nine year old son, Liam.

At the time of buying the seven bedroom estate back in 1983, Ford – who was one of the biggest Hollywood stars at the time – was married to his second wife, Melissa Mathison. The couple divorced in 2004.

So what does this surplus size property has to offer? As well as boasting seven generous-sized bedrooms (which commands breathtaking views of the city and the ocean), the super luxurious mansion features a regal dining area along with country kitchen, a cosy living area, a family room, eight bathrooms and even a library! The outside is just as beautiful – the grand home possess a picturesque garden.

The gated New England traditional estate has so much more for offer: there’s a poolside guesthouse, plus TWO separate guest suites. The dream home is set back from the street, giving any A-list celebrity the much-craved privacy.

Harrison must have been an ace handy man over the years, as there is a purpose-built detached work shop on the property. The workshop probably makes a good ME-TIME place for the old chap!

Will Harrison miss this hidden jewel? I’m sure he will –but with that fat profit coming his way, I’m sure he has his sights on another superfly mansion!

3 Stunning Superstars Houses in London

London is the place to reside and invest if you’ve hit the big time and want to follow the trend. Since the cultural birth of the ‘swinging sixties’, the capital flourished and generated a ‘scene’, attracting rock icons from all over the world to splash out and take residence in the trendiest areas of London. Today, from Mayfair to Marylebone, Soho to Chelsea, an eclectic mix of rock stars inhabits an eclectic mix of London pads.  London has many luxury houses for sale so when you hit the big time you will be spoiled for choice.

Madonna

One such star needs no introduction, as this material girl lives up to her name, paying £10 Million for a ten-bedroom inner-city town house in Marylebone. Bounded by Oxford Street and Edgware Road, Madonna is surrounded by boutiques and unique restaurants. Unlike the majority of MTV stars who ‘pimp out’ their cribs with everything that is modern, Madonna’s crib offers an opulent interior, in keeping with its grand Georgian exterior.

Lady Gaga

Perhaps considered Madge’s contemporary, another certain Lady has crossed the pond and bought herself a luxury apartment north of Oxford Street. Gaga, although not as yet cramming her cases with giant sunglasses and Herman Munster boots (the pad isn’t finished due to the luxurious development not as yet completed), chose one of four penthouse suites. This building, somewhat reflecting Gaga’s personality, boasts a modern concrete exterior, complete with floor-to-ceiling windows. The finished development will provide a communal courtyard (can’t see her using that!), and a roof garden – this diva obviously hasn’t experienced the capricious nature of British weather. As for the finished interior, one can only assume it’ll be as eccentric and brash as her wardrobe. Maybe she’ll be seen sipping champagne whilst reclining on a chaise long upholstered in Parma’s finest ham?

Mick Jaggers House

Sir Mick Jagger

Going back a few decades, the original swagger meister himself, Sir Mick Jagger has pouted and strutted in many a London mansion. He spent some time at Downe House, located at Richmond Hill with former wife Jerry Hall. This Georgian-style abode overlooks the Thames. Built of brown brick and yellow window dressing, it includes four storeys and balconies. Obviously a desirable location, former Rolling Stone, Ronnie Wood, and Pete Townsend from The Who previously resided here.

After being chucked out of Downe House by Jerry Hall, and carrying out extensive refurbishments on his next home, Sir Jagger now lives in a five-bedroom Chelsea mansion, again overlooking the Thames.

So if you make it in the big time, chuck several million London’s way. Mix with the elite, dine with the finest, and you never know, you may even get to watch the discarded shopping trolleys and used condoms drifting down the Thames from one of Mick’s balconies.

Inside Michael Jackson House

The property is owned by Ed Hardy CEO Hubert Guez.  Guez originally put the property up for sale in 2008 for $38 million.  He then tried to rent the property for $300,000 per month before reducing the price.

Jackson rented the house while he rehearsed for his This Is It tour at the Staples Centre in LA.  He lived there with his three children, Prince Michael, 13, Paris, 12, and Blanket, eight.

The property was listed for a higher price of $29million when it was put on the market in August 2010.  It is now available for under $24 million.

The 50-year-old singer died of a Propofol overdose in June 2009.  On June 25th 2009, paramedics were called to the house on Carolwood Drive.  Jackson was taken to the UCLA medical centre where attempts to resuscitate him failed and he was pronounced dead.

He was scheduled to begin a run of concerts at London’s O2 arena weeks after his untimely death.

Whether Williams is serious about buying the home is still to be seen.  However, with an estimated fortune of $149 million, the English pop star certainly has the money to snap up the stunning mansion.
