Rapper NICKI MINAJ has urged parents to protect their children from the explicit lyrics on her albums.
The Super Bass hitmaker’s records include adult-only versions of her mainstream tracks, which are cleaned up for radio and TV use.
And Minaj insists she would be horrified if parents weren’t stopping their children from listening to the X-rated renditions of her famous songs.
She tells Britain’s The Guardian, “I don’t want children cursing. I’m very strict on my nieces and my little brother. They have to listen to clean versions of music.”
But the outlandish star refuses to scrap swearing on her albums – insisting it’s sexist to expect a female rapper to be clean-cut while her male peers continue to curse.
She adds, “Why do people ask me to lose swear words? Do people ask Eminem to lose swear words? Do they ask Lil Wayne to lose swear words? Nobody stops them and says ‘Would you stop swearing… for the children, please?’”

The singer/actress took the stand on the first day of suspected killer William Balfour’s trial in her native Chicago, Illinois on Monday (23Apr12) and she returned on Tuesday as the case continued.
Hudson closed her eyes as Sgt. David Dowling described what he saw when he was called to the home the star’s mother and brother shared in October, 2008.
Dowling recalled Hudson’s brother, who was in bed, had been killed by a gunshot wound to the head. Her mother had been shot in the living room.
Hudson’s fiance David Otunga and her sister Julia, who was previously married to Balfour, sat next to the singer in court.
Balfour has pleaded not guilty to murdering Hudson’s mother, brother and seven-year-old nephew.

Perry kisses sailor at naval concert
KATY PERRY battled through illness to perform at a naval academy in Maryland on Friday (20Apr12) and even pulled one lucky sailor up on stage for a kiss.
The pop star fell sick with a nasty cold this week (beg16Apr12), but she refused to let her ill health halt her concert commitments, and took to the stage at the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland to perform for troops as planned.
Perry, 27, dressed in a sailor’s uniform for the show and she pulled one gig-goer out of the crowd to join her on stage.
Baseball star ALEX RODRIGUEZ has heaped praise on his ex-girlfriend CAMERON DIAZ, branding the beauty “one of the greatest human beings” he’s ever met.
The pair hooked up in 2010 and enjoyed a globe-trotting romance, travelling the world together until their split in September last year (11).
And despite Rodriguez dating a series of high-profile blondes, including Madonna and Kate Hudson, he insists Diaz is still his favourite.
He tells The Insider, “I don’t like talking about my relationships, but I will tell you about CD (Cameron Diaz): She’s probably one of the greatest human beings I’ve ever met, and just an amazing light.”
The sports star also reveals he has a new idol in the dating stakes – eternal bachelor George Clooney.
He adds, “I think my new hero is George Clooney. He’s my new role model. I think he’s done it right.”

SEAN ‘DIDDY’ COMBS has sparked rumours he is angling for a cameo role in the next THE HANGOVER sequel after he was spotted meeting with director TODD PHILLIPS.
The rapper has been pursuing an acting career over the last few years, landing a two-episode role in CSI: Miami, a slot on Hawaii Five-0 and a part opposite Russell Brand in 2010 comedy Get Him to the Greek.
