Unlike her character Carrie Bradshaw (who would never be caught alive living in Brooklyn), Sarah Jessica Parker is venturing into the area, purchasing two adjacent townhouses with husband Matthew Broderick. The plan is to covert the two properties into one spacious family nest – which will become a 7,000 plus ft square feet urban mansion! Can you imagine the rooms and the garden?!? Well, the outdoor space will come in handy for their nine-year-old son James Wilkie and twin daughters Marion and Tabitha, who turns three in the summer.
Inside sources confirm that the golden couple are finalising the contract on the two stunning houses, situated in the highly desirable neighbourhood of South Brooklyn Heights. However this is no ordinary family-orientated neighbourhood. Other celebrities, including Norah Jones and actor Gabriel Byrne live in the peaceful and angelic area.
Now that the sale of the properties is coming to an end, I bet that the Sex in the City star and hubby can’t wait to move out of their current family home in West Village! Besides being big Hollywood actors, the couple are a force to be reckoned with when it comes to property investment. They are in the process of selling another property on E ast 10th Street which they brought two years ago for $1.8995 million. According to celeb gossips sources, the family never move into the house.

That might change now that the mansion has a bargain-bucket price tag!

During the time at his Hollywood apartment, Elton and David opted for the 70’s inspired decor with Kelly green walls and an over the top chandelier in the kitchen. What a sight that must have been! As this plush New York apartment hits the market for $7.9 million, the big debate has ignited, concerning the ownership and the living arrangements of the property – does it belong it the Queen of daytime chat shows or to pal Gayle King?
Back in 2008, it was believed that the 58 year old billionaire and her close friend of more than 30 years brought the Mid-Manhattan property. But it was later revealed that the media mogul herself had purchased it for $7.1 million.
No one has a clue whether Oprah or King lived in this island of pleasure. Judging by the pictures, it appears to be pretty vacant for a while.
